Swarthmore, PA -- Swarthmore College Athletic Director Robert Williams has announced the appointment of Adam Hertz to the position of Associate Athletic Director.
Hertz comes to Swarthmore after serving for five years at Alvernia College, where he served as Director of Athletics and head coach of men's soccer and golf. While at Alvernia, Hertz oversaw all aspects of a 19-team Division III athletic department. Prior to Alvernia, Hertz spent six years as the head men's soccer and golf coach at Beaver College. While at Beaver, Hertz also served three years as an assistant to the athletic director and was the department's compliance officer.
A 1985 graduate of the University of Redlands, Hertz earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications. In 1995 Hertz received a master of education from Temple University.
Swarthmore College is a private liberal arts college located in the Philadelphia suburbs. Swarthmore competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the Centennial Conference.
