The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today that Swarthmore College head women's basketball coach Adrienne Shibles was selected WBCA Division III District 4 Coach of the Year. Shibles was selected Coach of the Year by a vote of WBCA-member head coaches in the region. She is a finalist for the RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Division III National Coach of the Year Award.

Shibles guided the Garnet to its first ever Centennial Conference Championship and into the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Swarthmore recorded its best season in school history, posting a 23-5 record.

In her fifth season at the helm of the Garnet, Shibles owns a 64-60 career record.
