Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse
Captain Mark Dingfield '01

Men's Lacrosse, first played at Swarthmore College in 1891, competes as a member of the Centennial Conference. Swarthmore's student-athletes are exposed to the best competition in Division III while receiving perhaps the finest liberal arts education in the country. The Garnet Tide's 2001 schedule includes Franklin & Marshall College, Gettysburg College, Washington College, Wesleyan University and Western Maryland College; each has been ranked in the Division III top 20 in recent years. The players on Swarthmore's '01 roster hail from eleven different states and have majors ranging from English to engineering. Additionally, student-athletes benefit from an 8:1 student to faculty ratio, an endowment that exceeds one billion dollars, a well-staffed sports medicine department and facilities comparable to many larger universities.

Several players of the '00 squad were recognized by both the Centennial Conference and their teammates for excellence during the past season:

Blake Atkins All Conference 2nd Team, Captain for '01
Mark Dingfield Captain for ‘01

Ford O’Connell Academic All Conference
