Muslim life at Swarthmore

The Muslim Students Association (MSA) increases awareness about the faith and cultures of Muslims throughout the world on the Swarthmore campus. The group provides a suport network for students through weekly meetings and by organizing regular congregational prayer. They also connect Swarthmore's Muslim community with local and national Islamic organizations. Anyone interested may join and participate in the MSA's activities.

Meetings and Events

The MSA hosts weekly meetings which typically include discussions about issues that the larger Muslim community is facing, and about students' individual relationships to the American culture. On Fridays the group provides transportation to religious services at a local Islamic center. Some of of the group's regularly scheduled events include discussion groups, dinners during Ramadan, trips to Philadelphia and lectures on Islam.
