Timely Warning UPDATE - Attempted Burglary

The Department of Public Safety is sending this email as an update concerning an email sent to the community for an attempted burglary occurring on 8/2/2013 at approximately 9:15 PM in the vicinity of 318 North Chester Road.

According to the Swarthmore Police one male suspect has been charged with attempted burglary and loitering and prowling at night. At this time, it has not been determined that the other suspects identified last night were involved.

To protect yourself, always secure your windows and doors and it is wise to use the buddy system while walking late at night. The Department of Public Safety would also like to remind the community to place the Public Safety Emergency phone number (610) 328-8333 into your cell phone for easy access if you should need assistance or would like to request a safety escort while on campus.

Please contact The Department of Public Safety if you observe anything suspicious, by calling the emergency line at (610) 328-8333 immediately or 911. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Public Safety.
