Julia Chindemi Vila
Julia Chindemi Vila received the degree of Profesora de Historia at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) where she taught contemporary Latin American history. She finished an M.A in History at the Universidade Nacional de Brasília (Brazil) and researched the multinational borders of the Río de la Plata region.
After coming to the United States, she studied Spanish language and literature at Temple University, earning an M.A in Spanish in 2008. She focused her pedagogical interests in teaching not just the language but also the diversity of the Latin American culture.
At Swarthmore College, she teaches Spanish 001, 002 and 003, and shares the coordination of “La mesa de español” with Patricia Vargas.
