Allison "Allie" Emmerich is the resident Stage Manager at the Lang Performing Arts Center. Originally from Allentown, PA, she holds a BA in Theatre from DeSales University and is a certified International Events and Wedding Planner (IEWP). She has been planning events and managing theater productions for the past 12 years.
At the LPAC, Allie manages all productions that come in and out of our Pearson-Hall Theater, often working backstage to support them as well. She organizes rental clients, who take advantage of our spaces when our students are not, and also coordinates the hiring and management of our many student workers. Allie, along with her office assistants, updates and maintains the LPAC social media presence (Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram).
Allie has previously worked in the Swarthmore Dean's Office as Student Events Coordinator. She is also active in the community, working as Director and Scenic Designer at local Strath Haven High School's after-school theater program. She has held multiple roles in professional theater, ranging from lighting designer to stage manager to production manager and director. She also works as a freelance event planner and stylist, and owns and operates Emmerich Events and Productions.
