Steven earned an International Baccalaureate diploma at Bodine High, a magnet public school in north Philadelphia that enrolls students from the entire city. He was active at Bodine as captain of the Debate team, president of the National Honor Society, and in his senior year, president of Student Government. He co-founded the PA Young Democrats High School Caucus, was a White Williams Scholar for three years, a Price Waterhouse Cooper Impact Scholar for two years and was named a Questbridge Prep Scholar in his junior year. He also worked for 8 hours a week throughout the school year at a local law firm and volunteered at the National Constitution Center.
