As an Evans, Mary spent her summers intern with diverse organizations. The summer following her freshman year, she interned with the American Chamber of Commerce in Costa Rica, where she developed a resource guide for trade between Costa Rica and the United States, including customs regulations, logistics, directories and advice. The following summer she interned with Shared Interest, a socially responsible investing firm in New York and worked with their partner organization in South Africa to develop a new impact monitoring system and to upgrade their metrics; she also researched issues impacting the social investment fund for community development in South Africa and investigated potential sources of loan capital and grant funding. Mary spent her junior year at the London School of Economics through their General Course program. This past summer she was an SEO intern at J.P. Morgan in Asset Management. She will be employed in their Funds Management program after graduation.
At Swarthmore, Mary is the treasurer of the Women's Ultimate Frisbee team, Executive Director of Development for Global Health Forum, and a tutor for Dare to Soar.
