Matt Zencey '79 enjoyed a 21-year career in Alaska as an editorial writer and editorial page editor at the Anchorage Daily News before working at the Philadelphia Inquirer as assistant editorial page editor and a health and science editor. A five-time winner of Best Editorial Writing from the Alaska Press Club, Zencey edited and helped write a series of editorials about Sarah Palin's candidacy for vice-president, a project that won the Alaska Press Club Prize for Public Service in 2009. Zencey was a Nieman Fellow in Journalism at Harvard University in 1992-93. He now lives in West Chester, Pa., where he is delving into Pennsylvania politics and working on a book about Sarah Palin.
