Jim MacMillan discusses his organization's efforts to reduce gun violence in Philadelphia. Introduction by Associate professor of Sociology Lee Smithey.

Jim MacMillan is former advisor to War News Radio, which aims to fill the gaps in the media's coverage of conflicts across the globe. He is also the Coordinator of Media and Social Responsibilty at the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility. MacMillan spoke on campus to discuss GunCrisis.Org, an organization he founded, whose digital journalism efforts to reduce gun violence in Philadelphia are undeniable steps towards a safer tomorrow.
