Sharing his personal experiences as a first-generation college graduate with West Indian roots, Collin Williams, Jr. discusses the struggles of Black and Latino students in America and his current research with Shaun Harper at the University of Pennsylvania. Collin is currently a Ph.D. student in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also earned his bachelor's degree in sociology and Africana studies. Opening remarks were given by Naudia Williams '14.
