A Celebration of Community (part one)

On the evening of Fri., May 7, a program of arts performances was held featuring Swarthmore alumni and faculty entitled, "A Celebration of Community: Performances in Honor of Rebecca Chopp's Inauguration as 14th President of Swarthmore College." After a welcome by Bennett Lorber '64, part one includes the following readings and performances: "Shrine" by Nathalie Anderson (4:08); Jandek's "Nancy Sings," Thelonius Monk's "Crepuscule with Nellie," and Mark Loria's "Mariella" by Mark Loria '08 (8:29), "Red-tailed Hawks" by W.D. Erhart '73 (30:10), and "Plural" by Pallabi Chakravorty, Diditi Mitra, and Amelia Sinkin (32:40).
