Swarthmore is again the "Best Value Private College for 2011," according to the Princeton Review and USA Today. This is the third straight year in which the College has been recognized with this distinction.

"Perhaps more than ever, we need talented, young leaders capable of producing thoughtful, strategic solutions to the complex set of issues we are confronting in this country and around the world," says President Rebecca Chopp. "Swarthmore is deeply committed to the principle of making our education available to all qualified students - our future leaders - through our need blind admissions process. And once admitted, we are equally committed to ensuring that their full financial need is met."

The Princeton Review selected its "Best Value" choices for 2011 based on surveys of administrators and students at more than 650 public and private colleges and universities. Most of the data analyzed came from surveys conducted from Fall 2009 through Fall 2010; all cost and financial aid data came from Fall 2010 surveys.
