Associate Professor of Music John Alston uses music to inspire and empower children as part of his involvement in the private/public Chester Upland School of the Arts, the culmination of Alston's efforts to expand upon the successful model of the Chester Children's Chorus he founded. Students at CUSA, currently in pre-K to fourth grade, are immersed in a curriculum that combines rigorous academics with music, dance, and visual arts.
