As a 2007 Philly Fellow, Windsor Jordan, Jr.  '07 will work for the next year as assistant chess coordinator with the After Schools Activities Partnership, which  runs about 200 chess programs in Philadelphia's public schools, YMCA, and Boys and Girls Clubs.

"Chess is fun, but it's not the reason I joined the program," Jordan says. "It's more about getting kids in a supportive, encouraging environment. I'll be able to talk to presidents of organizations, the heads of schools, but also with kids and their families.  The full breadth and collaborating with the communities is important to me."

Jordan is one of only a dozen recent college graduates chosen as Philly Fellows this year. Learn more about the Philly Fellows Program.
