There are 75 Congressional seats that are competitive for Democrats this year, according to Rep. Chris Van Hollen '83 (D.-Md.), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, in a recent Washington Post interview. If Barack Obama is the Democratic presidential nominee, he says, the "big wildcard" will be voter turnout, with Republicans not being able to count on a conventional turnout scenario. If Hillary Clinton is the runnerup, he says she will need to "tell her supporters how important it is, how high the stakes are, and how it's important for everyone to get out."   Watch more.
