Eugene Lang '38 is named this week by Barron's as one of 10 donors in the country who "epitomize thoughtful and effective giving." Lang is recognized for his three decades of working with high school students through his "I Have a Dream" Foundation, which helps them graduate and attend college.  more

Among Lang's other philanthropic initiatives is Project Pericles, a national organization of colleges and universities that encourages and facilitates inclusion of education for social responsibility and participatory citizenship as an essential part of their educational programs.  Swarthmore's Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility is the College's representative to the organization.
