Amelia Sanford (birth-death dates?):
In 1894, at the Prohibition Party convention, Mrs. Mary Metzgar nominated Sanford of Bloomington, Illinois for the position of trustee of the state university. Sanford’s qualifications included past positions as professor at Adrian College and dean of the Woman’s College of the Northwestern University.
