Lavinia Roberts (birth-death dates?):
Lavinia Roberts ran an active candidacy in 1894 for Illinois state superintendent of public instruction. Earlier she had worked her way through the State Normal School, teaching alternate semesters to earn money for tuition. In 1892 she was an (unsuccessful) independent candidate for superintendent of schools for Pike County.
