A Suffragette Town Meeting was written
by Lilian Clisby Bridgham and published in 1912.
In this play several of the leading women of an unnamed town
are elected to local political positions.
Just like their male counterparts, these women run the gamut of silly,
greedy, corrupt, and ethical politicians.
There is some evidence that this play was performed through the 1920s.

Massachusetts playwright,
Lilian Clisby Bridgham authored
several other plays satirizing gender roles of the early twentieth century.
