Agnes H. Downing - (birth-death dates?):
Agnes H. Downing ran for the office of State Superintendent of Public Instruction in California in 1910. Although she received almost 41,000 votes, she did not get elected to office. Downing was a writer on women's issues and a supporter of suffrage.

Dorris, shortly after taking office,
introduced a resolution urging Congress to pass the Women’s Suffrage Amendment.
