Grace S. Dorris - (birth-death dates?):
Grace C. Dorris was elected to the California state legislature, representing fifty-ninth assembly district of Kern County, in 1918. Dorris was one of the first four women to be elected to the California legislature. She was a graduate of the University of California and a supporter of woman's suffrage. While in office, Dorris introduced a resolution urging Congress to pass the Women’s Suffrage Amendment. Dorris ran three additional times for the state legislature: in 1920; 1922; and 1924. She won all the races except for the one in 1922.
