Mary Edith Campbell (1875 (or 1876?)-1962):
Mary Edith Campbell was the first woman elected to the Cincinnati, Ohio board of education, 1911-? Campbell was also the first president of Woman's City Club of Greater Cincinnati. She was a charter member of the Juvenile Protective Association and the Cincinnati League of Women Voters. Campbell helped organize the Negro Civic Welfare Association (now the Urban League) and served on the first Mayor's Friendly Relations Committee, predecessor to the Human Relations Commission. At her death Campbell willed all of her money to Planned Parenthood of Cincinnati.
