In 1966, the consortium of branches adopted the name "Minnesota Newsletter," published in Minneapolis; in 1980, it was published in St. Paul, but mailing address for the editor remained Minneapolis. By 1984, WILPF National requested a name change because by then there were two other branches in Minnesota addition to the branches located in Minn-St.Paul. The new name of the branch is Minnesota Metro Branch (c. 1985), but the newsletter remained the Minnesota Newsletter until 1989. In Feb. 1989, the editors of the Minnesota Newsletter became the editors of WILPF/Metro Minnesota and Minnesota Newsletter also continued to be produced with the same mailing address and different editors through the end of 1989. As of January 1990, there was a single publication, WILPF/Minnesota Metro Branch. The same editors also were sometimes responsible for the Region II Newsletter, Midwest Peace and Freedom]
