Collection Overview
This collection is concerned with two topics: the Tiger Cage Vigil & Fast protesting the U.S. war in Vietnam, held in Washington, D.C., in the summer of 1974, and the 1982 nuclear freeze referendum question in 10 states and 38 cities and counties nationwide. The latter is reflected here in the records of the Rhode Island Freeze Campaign (with which Elmer was involved), one of many such local groups. The papers in this collection are in the order arranged by Jerry Elmer prior to their arrival at the SCPC.

Items removed:
Photographs of Tiger Cage Vigil (1973-1974) were removed to the Photograph Collection [see office file for information about crediting photographer/s].
One bumpersticker was removed to the Stamp/Sticker/Seal/Envelope Collection.
