Amawalk Monthly Meeting was established in 1798 under Purchase Quarterly Meeting, set off from Chappaqua Monthly Meeting. Amawalk Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) changed to an Executive Meeting (meeting quarterly) in 1897. Amawalk Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) changed its name to Yorktown Monthly Meeting in 1882. Yorktown was laid down in 1988. Amawalk was revived in 1977 after a short hiatus.
