Biographical / Historical

Although the earliest records have been lost, Westbury Monthly Meeting was established as early as 1682. In 1828 it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Orthodox branch was unitied with Jericho Monthly Meeting as Westbury and Jericho Monthly Meeting from 1828-1870. In 1870 it reverted to the name Westbury Monthly Meeting, under which it continued until it was laid down in 1938 (?).

Divided into series: Minutes: 1.1 1828-36, 1.2 1836-1909, 1.3 1909-37; Women's Minutes: 2.1 1828-37, 2.2 1838-74; Vital Records: 3.1 Births, Deaths and Marriages: 1828-1928, 3.2 Births and Deaths 1885-1935, 3.3 Births and Deaths 1835-47; Ministers' and Elders' Minutes: 4.1 1845-78, 4.2 1902-20.
