Valley Preparative Meeting was set off in the late 1700s under Cornwall Monthly Meeting. It was transferred to Marlborough Monthly Meeting on that body's establishment in 1804. In 1828 it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Orthodox branch changed its name to Plattkill Preparative Meeting in 1902. This meeting had four members in 1948 and was laid down some time thereafter.

Records of Valley Preparative Meeting (Orthodox), 1799-1916. Includes men's minutes 1806-83, women's minutes 1799-1883, joint minutes 1883-1902; and miscellaneous 1869-1871.

Divided into series: Men's minutes: 1.1 1806-12, 1.2 1812-22, 1.3 1823-35, 1.4 1835-57, 1.5 1857-83; Women's and joint minutes: 2.1 1799-1832, 2.2 1832-50, 2.3 1830-69, 2.4 1869-1902; Miscellaneous: 3.1 1869-71.
