History of the Meeting

Hector Monthly Meeting was established in 1822 by Farmington Quarter. After the separation of 1828 there was another separation in the Orthodox branch, resulting in an Orthodox and Conservative meetings. In 1859 another split occurred within the Conservative branch, yielding Kingite and Otisite meetings. These meetings reunited as Conservative in 1881, and ceased to meet after 1955. The Orthodox branch of Hector Monthly changed its name to Perry City in 1901; this meeting remains active.
