Eastern Long Island meeting was founded in 1955 under the Friends World Committee for Consultation. Eastern Long Island Executive Meeting was established in 1990 with three worship groups, Southold, Southampton, and Shelter Island, under Long Island Quarterly Meeting of New York Yearly Meeting. In 1995 it divided into Peconic Bay Monthly Meeting and Shelter Island Executive Meeting. Peconic Bay Executive Meeting is currently an active meeting.
