Biographical / Historical

Paltz Preparative Meeting was established under Cornwall Monthly Meeting in 1801; it was set off to Marlborough on its establishment in 1804, and became part of Plains Monthly Meeting on its establishment in 1813. In 1828 Paltz Preparative Meeting split into Orthodox and Hicksite branches; the Orthodox branch was reattached to Marlborough Monthly Meeting in 1854 and laid down in 1855.
