Marlborough Monthly Meeting was set off from Cornwall Monthly by Nine Partners Quarterly Meeting in 1804. It became part of Cornwall when that quarterly meeting was established in 1816. The meeting separated in 1828. The Orthodox branch remained under Cornwall Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox). Plains Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) was laid down in 1854, and its members were attached to Marlborough Monthly Meeting. In 1958, Marlborough Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) discontinued itself after not meeting for almost three years and notified Cornwall-Nine Partners Quarterly Meeting that it had done so.

Includes records of Marlborough Monthly Meeting (pre-separation and Orthodox), 1804-1954. Includes men's and joint minutes, 1804-1954, Women's minutes, 1804-1882, Ministers' and Elders' Minutes, 1813-1919, Vital Records 1804-1931, a volume of sufferings, 1808-1855, and an elegy, 1800. Women's minutes 1880-1882 (2.3) also contains Women's minutes from Plains Monthly Meeting, 1851-1854 and joint minutes (Marlborough Monthly Meeting), 1883-1883.
