History of the Meeting

Hudson Monthly Meeting was established in 1793, set off from Creek Monthly Meeting. This meeting was initially composed of Hudson and Coeymans Patent Preparative meetings and the meeting at Klinakill. Chatham Monthly Meeting was set off in 1819, on its establishment, comprising New Britain Preparative Meeting. In 1888 Hudson and Chatham Monthly Meetings (Hicksite) reunified, becoming Hudson and Chatham Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). This meeting began to meeting quarterly as an executive meeting in 1902, and was laid down in 1905, members attached to Albany Monthly Meeting.
