History of the Meeting

Genesee Yearly Meeting was set off from the Hicksite branch of New York Yearly Meeting in 1834. Congregational Friends separated from the larger body in 1848. Genesee Yearly Meeting joined in founding Friends General Conference, and it was amalgamated with the Orthodox and Conservative branches of Canada Yearly Meeting into Canadian Yearly Meeting in 1955.

Scope and Content of the Records

Includes minutes of the men's and women's yearly meetings, minutes of the yearly meeting of Ministers and Elders, a treasurer's book, and minutes of the Indian Committee.
