Vol. 1.8 (1930-42) also includes minutes of Saratoga Quarterly Meeting of Ministers and Elders, 1815-1925.

Biographical / Historical

Easton Monthly Meeting was established in 1778 as Saratoga, set off from Nine Partners Monthly Meeting. It was a part of Nine Partners Quarterly Meeting until Saratoga Quarterly Meeting was established in 1793. In 11mo 1795, the name of Saratoga Monthly Meeting was changed to Easton, and Saratoga "the west side of the river" retained the name Saratoga. After the Separation of 1828 this meeting affiliated with New York Yearly Meeting (Hicksite). Easton remains active to date.
