Biographical / Historical

Blooming Grove, known as Upper Clove until 1815, was probably formed as a meeting for worship in 1804. Blooming Grove Preparative Meeting was established in 1812 under Cornwall Monthly Meeting. Blooming Grove Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1871 due to decreased membership; members were attached to Cornwall and Smith Clove Preparative Meetings (Hicksite). Blooming Grove Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was laid down sometime after 1872.
