Wells Collection

The Wells Collection, bequeathed to the Library in 1943, is composed of two small, fairly complete sets of 18th- and 19th-century editions of James Thomson and William Wordsworth. Also included are critical works, biographies, transcripts and photostats of letters, musical settings of poems, books about the Lake District, maps, postcards, guides, and concordances, as well as books, some annotated, from Wordsworth's own personal library.
