At the Swarthmore Foundation Committee's discretion, once full time S2A2 and CCF internship awards and project grants have been announced for the summer round, if funds remain, partial support for part time or short duration internships in social justice may be supported. The maximum award, indicated by the applicant's well-researched budget, will be $185 per week for 10 weeks. Living support extends only to rent, commute between your lodging and your service site, and modest support for food and other consumer disposables such as detergent and shampoo. Internships must be hosted by non-profit agencies, and preference is given to those agencies providing direct service to a disadvantaged population. You may serve student-run projects that have institutional oversight. Freshmen, sophomores and juniors may apply. Students on foreign study are eligible to apply. Available only to individual students- no groups or pairs. Applications for internship support for the summer of 2013 will be rolling, sent as a .doc or .pdf attachment. Students Late applications will not be considered. Funding excludes travel expenses. Please contact Deb Kardon-Brown (dkardon1), 610-328-8623 for the application, more information and questions.
