Dr. Giovanna Di Chiro is Director of Environmental Programs at Nuestras Raíces, Inc. in Holyoke, Massachusetts, and Research Associate at the Five Colleges Research Center in Amherst, Massachusetts. She has published widely on the intersections of environmental science and policy, with a focus on social and economic disparities and human rights. more
Cynthia Jetter '74, Director of Community Partnerships and Planning

Cynthia Jetter is responsible for creating and coordinating the Center's partnerships with community groups. She works with leaders of community groups, as well as with faculty who wish to create community-based experiences for their students, staff who wish to engage with community organizations, and with students who are seeking internships and other service opportunities. Cynthia offers training to members of both campus and neighboring communities in order to increase the benefits of partnerships for all involved. Office hours by appointment.

Debra Kardon-Brown convenes the Swarthmore Foundation, and coordinates the Summer Social Action Awards (S2A2), Chester Community Fellows, Summer Internships and Social Action Project support. Jennifer Magee directs the Lang Opportunity Scholars Program and Project Pericles Fund, advises student activist and service groups, assists in the development of community-based learning initiatives and provides orientation and training opportunities for students. Office hours by appointment.
Delores Robinson, Administrative Assistant

Delores Robinson manages the Lang Center's central office, with special responsibility for budgets. She also manages Lang Center building hosts and student mass transit, schedules use of Lang Center spaces, and makes appointments for members of the staff.
Lang Center Interns (LCIs)
LCIs are primary liaisons between the Center and Swarthmore students. LCIs design and coordinate many aspects of student social action efforts at the College, develop special projects, and help with administration of the Center and its programs.
