Patricia White

Professor and Chair of Film and Media Studies, Patty White teaches film, cultural studies, critical theory, and gender and sexuality studies. She is the author of Uninvited: Classical Hollywood Cinema and Lesbian Representability (Indiana University Press, 1999), and with Timothy Corrigan, co-author of The Film Experience (Bedford St. Martins, 2004, 2009) and co-editor of Critical Voices in Film Theory (Bedford St. Martin's, 2010).  She is  president of the board of Women Make Movies and a member of the Camera Obscura editorial collective.  Her current book project is on 21st century global women filmmakers.
