Symposium Accessibility

It is our goal to make this event as accessible and open to all as possible. All of the scheduled events will take place in wheelchair accesible rooms. If there are any special needs with which we can assist (i.e., are you differently abled and will require special assistance during the Symposium - from hearing aid devices to ASL interpretation to large print to a personal lisaon, etc.), please get in touch with us at sager@swarthmore.edu ( with at least a week's notice! ) and we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements.

Childcare

As part of our goal to make this event as accessible as possible, we will offer childcare if there is enough demand from alumni and other guests. Please let us know if this would be helpful to you, at least one week prior to the symposium , and we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements!

Lodging & Directions

We are developing plans to house non-student attendees in Phildelphia and transport them to and from the symposium.

Swarthmore is located about 25 minutes outside of Philadelphia, and is thus easily accessible by air, train and car, as well as regional rail (SEPTA R3 Media/Elwyn line) and buses. For more thorough directions, and a list of lodging options, please click here. There will be a limited amount of student housing -- please contact us, with at least one week's notice, and we'll do our best to place you!
