The Three O's of Harassment

Offensive conduct can be debilitating to its recipient. If allowed to escalate, it can also be destructive to the work of the department and every person involved. Yet, each person, whether directly or indirectly effected, has a significant role to play in keeping offensive behavior from becoming harassment. When offensive conduct occurs, there are three different types of effected people. It is likely that we can all recall different points in our lives when we fell into each of these categories: the Offended, the Offender, or the Outsider. Participants will learn to identify the key responsibilities of each of these roles. Three O's also teaches participants valuable empowerment strategies to prevent harassment.
