Topic: Non-Point Source Pollution Identification and Remediation

The management of nonpoint pollution associated with stormwater runoff, leaking and overflowing sanitary seres and other nonpoint pollution sources prevalent in urban and heavily devleoped suburban areas is a complex decision-making problem for municpal governments. While watershed model identify the worst pollution sources, these models do not provide assistance to environmental mangaers in choosing which projects to fund with limited funds and resources. This project will emply new advances in Management Science to help environment managers maximize the effectiveness of fund allocation for nonpoint pollution managment measures.
