Richard A. Barasch '76

Barasch, who lives in New York City, is chairman and CEO of Universal American Corp., a NYSE health insurance and healthcare services company. He joined the Board in 2005.

Barasch earned a B.A. in history with honors from Swarthmore, then a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1979, where he served on the board of editors of the Columbia Law Review. He is married to Renee Preisler Barasch and has three children.
