Welcome to the City

Alumni Weekend

Welcome to the City 2016 is on Saturday, October 1st!

Now in its 10th year, Welcome to the City offers a great chance to make new Swarthmore connections in your city or region!

Every year, hundreds of young alumni from Swarthmore College move to new cities in pursuit of further degrees, research, new jobs, or just to resettle. On Saturday, Oct. 1st, in 22 different cities across the US and around the globe, alumni Connection groups will be having informal get-togethers where Swarthmoreans can welcome new residents, pass on valuable information about their new locale, and socialize and network with other members of the Swarthmore community.

If you scroll down on this page, you will find a list of cities having events on (or about) Oct. 1st, if you live in or near one of them, or if you know you will be visiting on that particular day, kindly RSVP by clicking this link:

Note: The registration page indicates no fee for these events, but please bear in mind that many of the individual events are pay-as-you-go happy hours or gatherings at restaurants. Potluck get togethers are also indicated in the descriptions below and on the registration page. If you would like to arrange for what to bring to a potluck, please write to alumni@swarthmore.edu.

Thanks and we hope to see you there!
