Alumni College Abroad Cuba
Cuba: An Extraordinary People-to-People Opportunity
With Kim Arrow, Associate Professor of the Dance Program
March 9–17, 2014
Travel with Associate Professor Kim Arrow, alumni and friends and experience a unique travel adventure to Cuba. Unravel the epic sweep of Cuba's history during this extraordinary "people-to-people" exchange.
This adventure is focused on engaging with real Cubans, who will share insights into how they live, work and play. We’ll discover the true heart of this enchanting country through exclusive cultural enrichments, which provide a myriad of opportunities for direct contact with artists, musicians and dancers. We will also meet and interact with farmers, the backbone of Cuba’s expanding urban agriculture; with university students; and with seniors, who will discuss life in their community’s Casa de Abuelos. Professor Arrow will add a special educational component to the program by sharing his expertise on rhythm, music and dance, all important parts of Cuban culture and arts.
As the government license for our program was only recently approved, we have a very short window until our trip departs.
