QuestBridge Students

Swarthmore is a proud QuestBridge partner. QuestBridge is a program that links intelligent, motivated low-income students with educational and scholarship opportunities at some of the nation’s best colleges and universities.

The QuestBridge National College Match helps outstanding low-income high school seniors gain admission and full four-year scholarships at a variety of selective colleges.  Last year, QuestBridge’s partner colleges offered admission and more than $90 million in financial aid to over 900 students who applied to the National College Match.

The National College Match program consists of two parts.  First, students submit the College Match application to QuestBridge and rank up to eight of QuestBridge’s partner schools based on their preferences.  QuestBridge then evaluates these students and selects finalists.  Next, QuestBridge forwards the applications of finalists to partner schools that the students have identified as their eight top choices.  The partner schools then evaluate the students’ applications and decide to whom they will offer admission.  These students thus have been “matched” with their choice schools.  Students who match with multiple colleges attend the institution at the top of the ranking list that they submitted with their application.

Important Note: Students who have submitted QuestBridge applications may convert their QuestBridge application to a Swarthmore application by completing the QuestBridge Application Conversion Form. This eliminates the need to submit both a QuestBridge application and a Common Application for consideration by Swarthmore's Admissions Office.
