2016-17 Financial Aid Application Instructions

  • For U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents Who Live Abroad

To be considered for our need-based scholarship support, you and your parents 
must complete the following items by:

November 15 Fall Early Decision
January 15
Winter Early Decision
February 15
Regular Decision

The financial aid decision will accompany your admission decision if you meet our deadline. 

If your biological parents are not together, whether because they were separated, divorced or were never married, we consider their financial situations separately, and the Noncustodial Parent PROFILE is required of your noncustodial parent.   If either of your biological parent has remarried, your stepparent’s income information is also required.

HOW TO APPLY and WHERE TO SUBMIT

College Board CSS/PROFILE

Complete and submit your 2016‐2017 CSS/PROFILE on-line.  An application fee will apply. Fee waivers cannot be applied.

College Board Noncustodial PROFILE  Online application required only if your biological parents are separated, divorced or were never married. Will become available automatically for you to supply to your noncustodial parent when you complete the PROFILE. 
Your noncustodial parent is required to submit the documents listed below. These documents may be emailed to our office in PDF format only. The email subject should be "student's full name-ED-2020"
2016-17 FAFSA form Available January 1, your federal FAFSA form is to be completed online once your parents complete their 2015 federal income tax return.

Letter from each parent's employer

Documentation of parents' income is required. Please provide us a letter from each parent's employer stating, in English, the parent's gross salary (that is, before any deductions) and the value of benefits, living subsidies, or perquisites for the period January 1 to December 31, 2015.

Attested Parent Income Information 

Your parents' 2015 U.S., Canadian, Puerto Rican, or other government's income tax return(s). All schedules and attachments must be submitted. If not in English, a translated version is required along with the original copy.

Applying Early Decision: Please submit 2014 US, Canadian, Puerto Rican, or other government's income tax return(s). All schedules and attachments must be submitted. If not in English, a translated version is required along with the original copy.

Parents' 2015 W-2 wage and Form 1099 income statements (If applicable)

Submit all W-2 wage statement used to complete parents’ 2015 federal tax return.
Include Form 1099 income statements for any income from contract earnings, retirement, pension, annuity, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, or Social Security (for all household members).
Please DO NOT submit any Form 1099 for interest or dividends.

Applying Early Decision: Please submit 2014 W-2 and Form 1099 income statements. 

Attested Noncustodial Parent Income Verification documentation

Your noncustodial parents' 2015 U.S., Canadian, Puerto Rican, or other government's income tax return(s). All schedules and attachments must be submitted. If not in English, a translated version is required along with the original copy.

Passport or Citizenship Documents (Photocopy)

Verification of your citizenship is required.  Provide a photocopy of your passport or green card.

2015  Corporation (Form 1120/1120S) or Partnership (Form 1065) Federal Income Tax  Return

Required if either parent has any interest or any involvement in a U. S. partnership or a corporation.
All pages/schedules/statements are required.
