In order to reapply for our need-based scholarship support, you and your parents must complete the following items by: April 30th, 2015

 When parents are not together, whether because they were never married or are separated or are divorced, we consider their financial situations separately.   If either parent has remarried, your stepparent’s income information is also required.

(If you wish to apply for federal aid only, complete just the FAFSA form after January 1, 2015)

Required of all families who wish to be considered for our scholarship support and are living outside of the U.S.  If your parents are living apart, a separate copy of this form must be completed for each household.

LETTER FROM EACH PARENT'S EMPLOYER

Documentation of parents' income is required. Please provide us a letter from each parent's employer stating, in English, the parent's gross salary (that is, before any deductions) and the value of benefits, living subsidies, or perquisites for the period
January 1 to December 31, 2014.

BUSINESS SUPPLEMENT FOR FAMILIES LIVING OUTSIDE THE U.S. [pdf]

Required if either parent is self-employed or has any interest or any involvement in a partnership or a corporation.

U.S. citizens who live outside the U.S. must:

  • provide a photocopy of parents’ 2014 U.S. federal income tax return
    (all pages and schedules—business and personal)
  • complete the 2015-16 federal FAFSA form: Available January 1, your federal FAFSA form is to be completed on-line once your parents complete their 2014 federal income tax return.

Your name must be written at the top right of each document you submit to our financial aid office.

You may use regular mail or you may scan and email pdf formatted documents to us at finaid@swarthmore.edu with YOUR NAME - CLASS YEAR In the subject line. Please understand the risks of sending personally identifiable information by email.

Since documents you submit cannot be returned, be sure to keep copies.
